    FUJIFILM USA Ecommerce Website

    We’re proud to have worked alongside FUJIFILM USA for close to a decade. In that time, we’ve forged a close creative bond that transcends the typical client-agency relationship. Their recent request for a new ecommerce website is one of our most significant deliverables to date.

    Our client expressed interest in re-platforming their popular ecommerce site. The previous version had aged out of its usefulness, with limited user performance and a significant amount of development time needed to action updates. FUJIFILM USA needed a frontend that was seamless for their ten-thousands of customers, with effective operability for their internal team on the backend.

    Actions

    Adobe’s Magento 2 backend developer was selected as the most appropriate platform to build on, which received additional, non-existent software to fulfil client’s varied needs. FUJIFILM USA’s existing product import platform, InRiver, was integrated in consideration of long-standing skills and automation.

    The eCommere store’s frontend was developed using an open source Hyva theme, which offered plenty of space for custom development. Style remained consistent with well-established brand guidelines and UX best practice was met. Speed was another key consideration, thanks to insights into a largely mobile customer base – and became a core part of site development. Innovative optimisation led to exceptional metrics as measured by Google’s Lighthouse. In turn, SEO rankings were vastly improved.

    Finally, a number of third-party tools were integrated to make customers’ checkout process effortless. Suitable payment gateway, tax calculator and order export platforms are now present. Overall, the BRIGHT development team provided a sturdy foundation that looks ahead to future developments. Further user elements can and will be added to the FUJIFILM USA ecommerce store without need for a significant overhaul.

    Naturally, with a sales-based website, security remained paramount to both our team and our client. Thorough measures were taken prior to project delivery, including PEN testing and the implementation of the Signified fraud prevention system.

    Outcome

    The FUJIFILM USA team were exceptionally happy with the well thought out and future proof deliverable. They are currently experiencing fewer customer rejections than previous, for a higher conversion rate. Orders and tracking are no longer managed manually, and sales have increased greatly. Work on the website was completed within a financial quarter – two months less than a project of this scale and depth would usually demand.
